day service on round trip basis”, will be offered
to Shipping Line/group of Lines/consolidators from TKD and
Dadri for Mundra, Vizag, Pipavav. Similar services to Chennai,
Kolkata/ Haldia Ports will also be considered, on request. |
 |
The Line/ lines together,
will be required to pay a minimum amount for booking of a
rake on round trip basis. This amount will be collected from
the PDA of the Line at the time of departure of train from
ICD end. Additional amounts will be payable for booking of
more than 80 loaded TEUs (one way). Payables under this arrangement
against services to Mundra, Pipavav and Vizag are given in
the Annexure(For Chennai, Kolkata/Haldia streams the payables
will be indicated on request). |
 |
In case a group of shipping
lines want to avail themselves of such a service, there should
be a ‘leader’, whose PDA will be debited against
towards collection of rail-freight. IWB will be issued in
favour of the Shipping line submitting the Forwarding Note,
which should have an endorsement from the ‘leader’
indicating its ‘no objection’ to debiting its
PDA for collection of rail freight against the same. |
 |
The Shipping Line/Lines will
decide the Terminal (TKD or Dadri) as well as the scheduled
day of departure, which CONCOR will agree to if there are
no serious operational constraints. Occasional request for
deferring a particular service will be agreed to, provided
such request is received at least one day prior to the departure
of the train from ICD. If service is not availed in any particular
week, there will be no deduction from the PDA.
|
 |
Booking for a particular
service from ICD end will close 10 hours prior to the agreed
time of departure of the train. CONCOR will have the right
to fill up empty slots if wagons are running empty from ICD/Port
At the Port end, the train will not be detained on account
of non-availability of containers.
|
 |
As far as clearance from port end is
concerned, FIFO principle will not be applicable to these
‘scheduled day services on round trip basis’. |
 |
CONCOR will consider a maximum of one
train a day for Mundra, two trains a week for Pipavav and
one train a week for Vizag Ports from TKD and Dadri, taken
together under the above arrangement. If there are competing
demands for the same service, the competing lines will be
requested to increase the minimum payable amount. The higher/highest
offer will be accepted. |
 |
There should be an exchange of letters
between the Lines/CONCOR to confirm the above arrangements.
The last date for acceptance of the above offer is 30th November,
2005. |
 |
Non-dedicated ‘common services’
to Mundra, Pipavav and Vizag ports will continue to run regularly,
the frequency of which will be indicated from time to time. |
